Privacy policy

Luna is built around a simple principle: data about your cycle is personal. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have around your information.

Last updated: March 29, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Luna website and the Luna mobile app. It describes how we handle personal information when you browse the site, create an account, or use the product.

If local law requires a more detailed or jurisdiction-specific notice later on, we can expand this page without changing the structure.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run the product, support accounts, and keep the service secure.

  • Account details such as your email address and authentication identifiers
  • Profile and cycle-related information you choose to add inside Luna
  • Technical information needed to operate the website or app, such as basic device, browser, app diagnostics, and aggregate website analytics
  • Support messages you send us directly

Why we collect it

We collect information to provide the product you signed up for, improve reliability, communicate with you, and protect the service against abuse.

We do not position Luna as an ad-supported product, and we do not treat cycle data as something to monetize through resale.

Health and cycle data

Some information entered in Luna may be sensitive. We treat that category of information with extra care and limit access to what is needed for the product to function.

Partner views are intentionally privacy-limited. Luna does not expose private fields such as notes, intimacy, basal temperature, or raw symptom logs to a partner view.

Where data is hosted

Luna is designed around EU hosting, and our current product infrastructure is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.

The website also uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and page usage. We will keep this page updated as our tooling evolves.

How long we keep data

We keep account and product data for as long as your account remains active, unless a shorter retention period is required by law or a longer retention period is needed for a legitimate operational reason such as fraud prevention or dispute handling.

When you delete your account, we aim to remove the associated personal data promptly, subject to any limited retention obligations that may still apply.

Your choices

You can request help, ask privacy questions, or delete your account directly from the product where that option is available.

If you need help with a privacy request, contact us at hello@luna-rhythm.com.

  • Access or correct your information
  • Ask questions about how your data is used
  • Delete your account and associated data

Children

Luna is not intended for children under 16. The product includes an age gate and does not allow onboarding to continue below that threshold.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date on this page and, when appropriate, provide a clearer notice inside the product or on the website.
